XXVIIIth Genetic Days, 18th – 20th September 2018, Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic – Opportunity to strengthen of old and to create new friendship.

In days 18th – 20th September 2018, researchers from Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding Biology attended 28th biennial edition of conference organized together between agricultural universities in Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. This year we were visiting Ceske Budejovice in south western part of Czech Republic. We were impressed by beautifully re-arranged architecture of the Campus.

After small complication we find the way into the Campus and accommodation at dormitory.

Scientific program itself has been held at the Department of Biology of the Agricultural faculty, which is responsible for education of genetics in farm animals at the faculty.

As part of the program were presented couple of plenary lectures, not only in areas of farm animal genetics. All other scientific contributions covered following topics: Animal Molecular Genetics and Genomics, Animal Genetics and Breeding, Plant Genetics and Breeding, Perspectives in Breeding and Genetics. Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding Biology, FAPZ, SAU Nitra was represented by prof. Trakovicka, doc. Kasarda and Ing. Moravcikova, presenting their contribution at the venue as well as contributions of doc. Miluchova, Ing. Bujko and Ing. Navratilova in form of posters.

In two years conference is moving to the Brno.
