International meetings at Deans office

On Friday, 12th of April 2019 was organized meeting of representatives of Bureau of European Relations and International Cooperation, General Directorate for Education and Research of Ministry of Agriculture and Food of France Mrs. Corinne Samouilla and Mrs. Delphine Laissac in the Deans office about possibilities of academic mobilities. At the meeting were present Dean of Faculty doc. Ing. Peter Ondrišík, CSc., vice-dean prof. Ing. Radovan Kasarda, PhD. and Head of the department of Animal Genetics and Breeding Biology doc. Ing. Juraj Candrák, CSc. Delegation presented system of post-secondary education in France, with specific regard on agriculture and agri-food branches. At the meeting was present also director of one of such educational institutes Dr. Fabrice Crépieux, who expressed interest in collaboration in practical education of students visiting our university within ERASMUS+. First group of students will attend courses at Slovak University of Agriculture in winter semester. Their interest is to get practical experience on university farm as well as experience in realisation of production on the market.

On Monday, 15th of April 2019 visited Deans office delegation of EURES from Norway. Visit was part of the coming exhibition JOBEXPO´19 in Nitra, where the wanted to present job opportunities in farm sector of Norway. At the meeting was present vice-dean for international relations and practise prof. Ing. Radovan Kasarda, PhD. Representatives of Helgeland Landbrukstjenester – organisation responsible for employment at Norway farms wanted to get information about study programmes and organisation of practical education. As resulted from the discussion at the JOBEXPO´19 will be offered not only permanent positions but seasonal positions during this summer as well. The job offers are on the dairy farms with average 40-50 cows, usually with robotic milking, as well as traditional family farms 20-30 cow size with all other categories of livestock. Work on the farms is not solely in milking but includes involvement in all day life at the farm during summer season. Season work covers to some extent also vegetable and fruit cultivation, berries picking and harvest. They would like to invite our student to their stand at the exhibition to provide detailed information. According to the future collaboration they presented interest to take part at University/ Faculty Career Days.
